His knowledge and experience in leading trips and exploring the country’s destinations, cuisine, history and heritage have strengthened his desire to show its best qualities and quirks to people all over the world. Bryan works in a travel company in Manila as its Chief of Operations. Even in the face of this pandemic, Bryan still believes that he has the best job in the world. He loves karaoke, a good laugh, wine, and his wife—in no particular order.

The Philippines

While the saying, “When Manila sneezes, the Philippines catches a cold” may be true, the capital is just the tip of the iceberg. It’s the gateway to the country’s 7,641 islands, and this class will give a general overview of the beautiful destinations outside the metropolis.

Take an online journey to the country’s top attractions such as the Rice Terraces of the Philippine Cordilleras, the Hanging Coffins of Sagada, Mount Pinatubo, Taal Volcano, and Palawan. Swim, island hop, hike, camp or just bask in the sun while getting to know Philippine heritage and our people. Each chosen destination will be featured briefly to help participants choose their next holiday in the country when travel is possible. There will be a trip consultation session afterwards to provide useful recommendations and practical tips backed by years of experience. Your decisions, your trip. Choose your own adventure.

By attending this class, you will have more reasons to visit the Philippines aside from seeing a friend or attending a reunion to see your lolo, lola, Ate Baby, Tito Boy and Ninang Girlie. This time, it may be for self discovery, adventure and new friendships in the many islands this country has to offer.

Give yourself a head start and book this class.

The Grandeur of the Cordilleras

Rice is an integral part of what makes a meal for Filipinos from all walks of life. It’s certainly an understatement to say we cannot live without it. It’s no surprise then that we boast of majestic rice terraces which continue to be a source of both sustenance and national pride.

The Cordillera is the highest and the single largest mass of mountains in the entire Philippine archipelago. This class will explore the different places in the Cordillera region that must be visited, touch on Igorot culture, take you on a virtual hike around the sites, and list places to stay and activities that the mountains offer. Afterwards, there will be a trip consultation session to help plan your trip when travel is possible.

The Philippines is known for its pristine beaches but its equally beautiful mountains are often overlooked. The experience of visiting the Cordilleras is made much better by getting to know its indigenous people—adding more depth and richness to the Filipino culture. As we wait for real travel to happen, take this journey online and choose your own adventure.
