Filipino Language Beginners
The Filipino Language for Beginners Class is designed for non-filipino speakers.
It is a 6-week class that emphasizes the learning of correct sounds and accent of the Filipino vocabulary as well as simple sentence patterns.
At the end of the course, the student is expected to acquire the language skills needed to survive in the community of language speakers and converse with some degree of facility on simple subjects about self and family.
Since this program focuses on the everyday usage of the words, sentences and expressions in the context of Filipino experience, it utilizes situational paradigm where vocabularies and expressions for different scenarios, such as introducing self and others, family activities, people in the community, asking for directions, buying, etc., are encountered.
