The Filipino Language for Beginners Class is a 6-week class that emphasizes the learning of correct sounds and accent of the Filipino vocabulary as well as simple sentence patterns. At the end of the course, the student is expected to acquire the language skills needed to survive in the community of language speakers and converse with some degree of facility on simple subjects about self and family.

Week 1: Kumusta?: Introductions and everyday greetings
Week 2: Masarap ang Mangga!: Describing people and objects
Week 3: Anong oras na?: Telling time, numbers and dates
Week 4: Nasaan ang Bangko?: Indicating location
Week 5: Gusto kita!: Expressing likes and dislikes
Week 6: May bagyo ba?: Indicating existence and possession
