(Re)Discover PH: Philippine History Class (10-Weeks)
The history of the Philippines is known to have begun at least 700,000 years ago. Various groups migrated and settled in different areas until the Spanish expeditions anchored in the islands. After 300 years of Spanish colonization, the islands were ceded by Spain to the United States of America. Forty years later, Philippines was captured by Japan in World War II. The United States ceded its sovereignty over the Philippines in 1946 that started the postcolonial history of the Philippines.
