ILOCANO BEGINNERS CLASS

This 6-session course will be focusing on basic grammatical structures and sentence patterns that will assist a new Ilocano speaker communicate with the locals. In every session, learners will be unveiled to new vocabularies, phrases, local expressions, and proper pronunciation of words. 

Week 1: Baro a Gayyem (New friend)

Learn the greetings and introduction and courteous expression.

Week 2: Adda lugan mi ditoy. We have a car here.

Learn common nouns and pronouns.

Week 3: Agtaray ka ti napartak. ( You run fast).

Learn verbs and adjectives.

Week 4: Adda mano nga kwartam dita? (How much money do you have?)

Learn numbers, days of the week, months of the year.

Week 5: Adinno ti mabalin nga paggatangan ti makmakan? (Where can I buy foods?)

Learn on how to order foods and ask for directions.

Week 6: Padasen ta! (Let’s try)

Conversational Practice.

Description

Jenelyn’s race can be tracked from Aringay, La Union where Ilocano was used as their colloquial. She earned her Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Technology in Livelihood Education at University of Southern Mindanao, Kabacan, Cotabato. She pursued and graduated in her Master’s Degree in Master of Arts in Education major in Educational Administration in Cotabato Foundation College of Science and Technology, Doroluman, Arakan, Cotabato. She is a Professional Licensed Teacher and presently teaching under the Department of Education for seven (7) years now. She is handling kindergarten class for 5 years and fortunately can communicate with other languages like Cebuano, Maguindanaon, Ilonggo, Tagalog, and even English. Her advocacy in life is to produce and educate learners for the betterment of the new generation.
