Waray-Waray Beginner’s Level (6 Weeks) by Miles Loste (Feb 25)

Waray is the fifth most-spoken native regional language in the Philippines, native to Eastern Visayas. It is a dialect that is prevalently spoken by the Waraynon but a second language to some people in the islands of Northern Samar, and some Cebuano-speaking people of the western and southern parts of Leyte.

This 6-week beginner class emphasizes the learning of the phonics of the vocabulary related lessons, common vocabulary, and simple sentence construction. By the end of the program, participants will acquire the language skill needed to communicate in the community of native Waray speakers such as basic conversation, and simple sentence construction. This will cover a short history of the Waray, social introductions, daily conversations, as well as ordering food, and buying.
